Glyki Nero A’ in Paralimni (near Kappari beach)
Glyki Nero Beach is the closest beach to the centre of Ayia Napa and starts at the harbour. The beach stretches eastwards towards the Ayia Napa sea caves and is one long sweep of fine golden sand.
Kasianes (Spyros Beach), south of Larnaca Airport
The area of Spyros beach – also known as Kasianes beach – near Larnaca International Airport and just off Meneou is of the more pleasant dog-friendly beaches with clean, shallow waters that people can enjoy as well.
Achelia Beach – Northwesterly of Paphos Airport, near the Ezousa river’s estuary
Northwest of Paphos International Airport, in the charming small village of Achelia, is a small and safe beach where dogs can run free. Though not ideal for people to swim, it’s a tranquil area where you can rest your feet.
Pitili area, easterly of Platania river’s estuary in Neo Chorio, Paphos
Quite a tricky beach to reach near the Platania River but worth it if you manage to keep it to yourself as it’s considered to be a beautiful, natural bay. The area has lots of stones and the sea can be harsh at times so do take care. Its isolated location, with difficult access is the main reason many people don’t opt to visit it.
Karavopetra area, southeasterly of SALA sewerage board unit in Monagroulli
This is a dog-friendly beach which you can easily access by car. It has plenty of sand and calm waters for humans to relax while their dogs swim. The surrounding area is pretty quiet and it’s located in the Monagrouli region between Le Meridien Hotel and the old Moni power station. Do look it up though as you might easily bypass it.
Prolimnos Beach, west of Pissouri
Wild and isolated beach located east of Aphrodite’s Rock, next to the old road Pissouri – Paphos B6
Steratzia area in Kato Pyrgos Tyllirias
Located within the boundaries of the Community Council of Kato Pyrgos within the District of Nicosia. This is not indicated on a map and you need to ask a local from the vicinity how to get there. It has an easy approach.
